33. Go to the beach and build a sandcastle

Went to Mudeford with Sarah and Isla. Here are some shots from today including a picture of our sandcastle. Not my best effort so hopefully we will get another chance this year!

The Sandcastle- George knows he can make better if Iain had been there - looking forward to the challenge next time we go to the beach!!

21. Swim in the sea off the British coast

Sarah and Isla are here for the week. We went to Mudeford today to the beach. Very hot but great fun. Took our swimming costumes and had a swim. It was ok once we were in the water!! honest!!

Number 12: See the torch live

Here is the video

Number 12: see the torch live.

On the 11th July we went with the children's school to see the torch as it passed through Theale. 7 coaches went from the school with children, teachers and parents. We had a 'saved' area on Theale high street for us all the stand and the children got flags.

George and his friends

The parade before the torch was great. All the police were giving high fives

As were all the others in the parade

Changes to the blog:

Change number 13 to seeing the Olympic torch and changed number 12 to seeing an Olympic event live. This is because we have seen the torch and are off to see the Olympics at the weekend. I wanted to mark both events separately.

As we went to the beach today I have also changed number 21 to swimming in the sea -off the cost of Britain (this is usually very unlikely as it is cold and has been raining but today at the beach it was 29C). I stole this idea off Claire (stole it today!) due to opportunity at the beach!!!

Number 8: run a 10k

I had signed up to run a 10K on Wednesday evening at Beale Park (jog in the park). It has been postponed due to weather conditions (none stop rain!!). This is good news as it means I have more time to train!! Ran this morning to Waitrose and back (about 3.5 miles).
