Number 13: See Olympics live

This should happen. Firstly we have trip with school to see torch as it speeds past us (wonder if we will see the torch or just the bodyguards), secondarily we have tickets to see Olympic Judo (George goes to a Judo class) including a medal ceremony. Should be able to have the chance to see the main arenas etc but it will be busy!!One good reason to live close to London! But far enough away to leave the crowds behind!!
Number 23: learn to tap dance.

I think this one may be possible this year. A fellow mum from school has told me about some adult tap dancing lessons starting mid June. I am definitely signing up!! Just need some tap shoes now.
Number 8: run 10K

I have signed up to run an 10k in July! eek. It has been hard to go training in this hot weather and I am not sure I could even run a 5K never mind a 10K! Oh dear. Need lots of practise!

Completed number 40: do something daring.

This is a new idea swapped in last week. Whilst up in Newcastle for Charlotte's party we also visited Iain's brother and family (those of team game fame  number 28). They live in Durham. On Saturday we went to a Cub and Scout event which involved abseiling!!

Yes this is very daring for me. We queued for about 1 hour to get the chance to walk down the side of a building!! I am please I did it but was petrified at the top and will not go again!! Iain went down twice and George went three times. Heather also did it -with no fear.

Me and George at the top

Heather

Sophie and Daniel also did some climbing on the climbing wall.

Have highlighted number 29: Dance the night away as we did so at Charlotte's party. I am hoping to do this again though before the year is out!! Otherwise how sad am I!!!

Completed number 14: celebrate being 40 with Uni friends

We went to Newcastle at the weekend to go to a party to celebrate Charlotte's 40th birthday. Charlotte is one of the 4 girls (and Claire, Louise and Jean) and one boy (Alan) that I lived with while at Sunderland University. It is now over 20 years since we all met (wow that makes me feel old!!). And every time we meet it seems like we haven't been living apart all this time! As we only meet once a year (ish) I have stolen Charlotte's party for my blog!!! Jean lives in New Zealand and is coming over this summer so hopefully we can celebrate again!!

Here we are.

We have had another Walympics day - take a look. Its close at the top!!

I have added a new item to my list - an extra idea.

After this weekend if I complete it I will let you know what it is!!

Do something daring!!

Number 17: Sponsor someone

A fellow mum from school has walked a 10k. She did this to raise funds for her daughter Cady. Cady is in Sophie's class at school.

Here is a link to Cady's fund raising page:
